    cant because the router is connected to the Modem and the modem has to stay downstairs due to the Virgin media box wire is down there.

    Kik ur parents out have the whole house to your self then bring the xbox down so u can easily plug ur ethnal cable in to the xbox and the router and then you get a bigger tv aswel

    Virgin Media, but i dnt wnna go through all the trouble of making them move it upstairs.

    Thats how my xbox is on live. I plug my xbox into my laptop through the ethernet cable. But i had to manually connect the xbox to the comp and to the internet.
