The LMA have said this on the matter:
“To issue a statement on the club website stating that the Board of the club has lost confidence in the manager, just two days into the new season defies belief and lacks credibility.
“Last season Neil lead the club to an excellent eighth place on their return to League One. Only last week, a new player was signed for a six figure fee and yet now the club claim that they have lost confidence in him.
“Once again deplorable incidents such as this, damage the credibility of professional football to the supporters, sponsors, and everybody connected with the game.”
I couldn't agree more with what they've said. There's something suspicious about this and we'll probably never get to know the real reason for his sacking .
