Ok. Since everyone here dislikes me have some constructive critisicm.

    - The navigation. The font doesn't work. Try using more professional fonts on this type of design.
    - The content area IMO should be above the middle bit as thats whats most important.
    - The fonts used aren't nice, possibly cause they're on sharp etc?

I just personally think this design lacks the professional edge. Business/professional layouts are clean, white and simple to use. This is dark, clean to an extent, but not accessible.

I have to agree with richard. This isn't professional.

But as I'll get flamed unless I'm constructive I'll say this:

    Nice parts:
The choice in colours could be worse.
The idea behind the layout is decent.

    Bad parts:
The text in the right hand section.. the stroke on it (The thick white) is terrible.
The text on a whole doesn't look right.
The gradient in the header is much too strong. Have a smaller colour contrast.
    The balls look weird.

    Advice:
    Check out some tutorials: http://pixel2life.com & http://www.good-tutorials.com
Have a look at some sites for inspiration: http://webcreme.com & http://www.flickr.com/photos/splat/sets/981332/

    Good luck.

It depends what kind of business it is used for, anyway thats only your opinion such as mine is that:

    lack professionalism.

    And thankyou Josh I will.

And you know these are professionally styled layouts on a basis of what? The developLIVE ones were test layouts based on a certain style, while the Qunex one was for a client who liked it.

Tell me how these arent business sites? Even if he says he was just testing stuff their purpose is still a buisness site.
