Bah! Shocking statistics Guess that includes the people who are christians because they were christened and haven't really thought much about being anything else.

Without a legitimate mandate for any of it

Wow, I wasn't aware you had to have mandate for believing in something.

Eugh... at the maximum I'd say she could represent Catholicism and other Christian factions but nothing more. I'd find it insulting if she represented Islam, Jewish or Sikhism.

Who cares what the monarchy believes? We don't have to believe what the queen believes.

I was referring to her not having a legitimate mandate to "do whatever she wants". I wasn't talking about her beliefs.

I think he meant the queen be neutral. As in no religion on the whole.

The Queen represents the Church of England because Henry VIII destroyed the catholic church during tudor times ad created his own version so he could get a divorce and gain control of religion on top of everything else. Thats why the Queen today is the head of the Church of england and all future Kings/Queens will be. She is not the head of the catholic church that would be the pope .. lol
I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.
