I normally check the bad rep out before I remove it. I don't just take it away as that ruins the point! Also when checking your rep in the last month (as the system by default loads up the previous month) I tend to take away pointless good rep aswell.

I also don't think that bad rep should be removed from the system. If it was possible to put reputation into a moderation queue (just bad) then it would stop the need for the report rep thread, which is abused and has it's regulars who seem to report nearly all of their bad rep and it doesn't even get removed as it isn't pointless.

Buying repuation I agree should be removed as it defies(sp?) the point of the system of earning reputation. However it earns Habbox some money so I dunno if it will be taken away.

The reason deciding a course of action takes time is because if we jump into an idea, you will all complain that we are being unfair (Like when we take away pointless good rep, which is one of the changes).

on-topic. I have never agreed with buying rep myself but the funds have to be raised to keep the sites and radio open. Its a difficult one

I've never liked the fact that users could buy reputation, it almost defeats the point of reputation entirely. As for removing the -rep ability, +rep would need to be removed too because they balance each other, one without the other would just cause even more abuse and would ultimately make +rep pointless because everyone would have it.

The thing is with purchasing rep, it's people putting something back into Habbox, out of their pocket and through there own choice.
Pointless good rep from others, isn't the person recieving the rep, choice.

I think the bad rep function should stay, since I reckon there's still more rep which goes unreported. Just there's certain people who are seriously concerned about their reputation levels (which is worrying.. if you can't accept earned bad rep, shouldn't of posted it!)

The reputation system is just a bit warped, it's always been abused, but since the report bad rep came into function, it's got worse (IMO), since people can find loopholes (sometimes) in some which aren't removed.
