Habbo's expensive, it never is going to be that big at all, hence the reason you can't compare it to runescape. I think most of it, is they did lots of marketing to 12-13 year-olds in 2001 and they stuck with it till about 05 - 06 and now they've left, they're not doing as much advertising to replace them.
Lots of people find Habbo boring anyway, for most people it's only a game you stay on a few months before you get bored, even if you buy a small bit of furni.
Another reason is the competitions and quests, they're getting lame.
Furni, that's now at a pathetic price.
Homes? They're just a rip they won't save anything, they should be entirely free tbh, and you only pay for furni and HC, same for gaming tickets, should be free, and they make the money by advertising.
Habbo was unique and it peaked in 05, it can't keep going up, it's unreasonable. It'll level out at around 3,000 users probably but as it is the internet, new things are always appearing, especially as the internet is still early days. YouTube was only invented 2 years ago and look where it is now? There's lots of new things always coming out the internet and nobody can keep up. MySpace peaked and now it's only the people who used it in it's day that now use it.

.. its boring loging on looking at trade rooms. seening only Vintus's Room up there _TEE_'s room up there and a few casinos..
