tbh radiohead are hype-machines. this is even more extreme than kid a. before that album, they didnt release any singles or videos, instead just sent a bunch of 10 second clips to mtv with weird animation and showed their logo. and the album went #1 internationally with basically no support. they're good at this crazy-marketing, down-with-the-industry stuff.

i agree, the suprise interests people into buying it.

If i was ever in a famous band i would most likely release a album without anyone knowing, just randomly release it, see how it does.
sure it would get leaked like most albums but just deny it on your official website even though it's true.

Just listened to that body snatchers... its pretty crap tbh .. there isnt really much going on, not really catchy , its boring tbh, the whole album seemed pretty bland on the preview thing apart from one song that was slow and had some sort of bells in it at 34 seconds ? Meh I will get the album and see what all the fuss is bout .

bodysnatchers is like a return to their bends stuff. which im sure everyone will like. ohhhh and i love bells. that was probably jonny greenwood () because he knows how to play every instrument ever invented.

it's easily the most anticipated record of the past couple years or so.

i think videotape is going to be amazing. thom's solo version was amazing, i can't imagine how good it'll be with the rest of the band at ultimate-recording sound. but yar. this album sounds so much simpler than most of their past stuff. which i guess could be a good and bad thing

I haven't really been bothered about this album. Haven't checked out any of their material just yet but will look into it. Quite intrigued though as you described Bodysnatchers as like a return to The Bends, the best Radiohead album.
    yes blud
