Australia notched the only try on a rare visit to England's 22 in the first half, but over the eighty minutes the England forward eight simply shoved, pushed and heaved their opponents out of the game.

Jonny Wilkinson once again was the deepest thorn in Australia's side, notching four penalties as a reuslt of the pressure the English pack exerted, and England may reflect in the aftermath that the win ought to have been more convincing had the backs been even vaguely disposed to try a few offloads.

it really was an awesome game, me and my mates who i currently live with were all watching it at our house, was on the edge of our seats for most of it.

i really hope france beat new zealand (we'll be watching that aswell)...id rate our chances to be better against france than new zealand

I got back from marseille yesterday and it was easily the best rugby match i've been to.

Neither team played with any class but england prooved too strong in the fowards for australia. Might be going to Semi's.

    Cmon!
