Well, if they weren't in jail they wouldn't have to worry about this. Yes, we should all respect other people's religion but like you said, in jail you have no rights.

And even if they where given ham butties by accident, that's not a crime, it's a mistake, they didn't even eat it anyway. Anyway why do they need compensation, they didn't eat it and I'm sure they could of eaten something else.

Also, whoever mentioned something about we should respect other peoples beliefs... It's idiotic to think we have to respect one view and not another. They were not force fed, they did not need to eat them and they do not even have to look at them.
