    I've been there, it's more of a kid-orientated place.
It's really good and fun though.
Loads of theme parks and the villagers are really friendly.
I stayed in it's capital Cahlajo? or something
    No longer active on here

Correlejo beaches were named in Top 10 most beautiful beaches.
Yes it is quite deserted but dependz what type of holiday you are looking for.
Correlejo has more of a night life than most towns. But if you have a nice resort and just want to relax by the pool or on beach it is perfect

I'm just going to have to plead Lanzarote's case.

Easter time can be quite good though. Plenty of toursits.
Most people go to Lanzarote or Tenerife but Fuerteventura is so much nicer. Just not as green, more mountainous.
I've just returned from a week-long holiday to Lanzarote and it's not at all green. When we were landing all we could see was empty brown bits. There's also a not dormant volcano on there where you can go to. They do a demonstration where they pour water into a hole and it all goes "BANG" and a big puff of steam comes up.

Lanzarote is full of rude people..
If you don't attempt to speak Spanish, they will be rude. But most of them seemed friendly enough. They all said hello and told us where to go.

Getting lost's not a good reason to not go! But I see your point, I got lost on Scarbrough beach once, and I don't fancy it again.
