I hope the Olympics fail, it'll embaress the government and serve them right for using millions of taxpayer money to fund this stupid event which will be no use to us what so ever.

So you want taxpayers money to be wasted on an event that will be rubbish, JUST so you can say to the government that they wasted money. And you're an idiot, you probably don't play sport, because Olympic funding has been increased, more money is thrown into sport like hockey (which i play) AND the stadiums etc, and benefits those who play as well as watch. tbh I think it will be a major target for terrorists so they should watch the security in 2012. All we know we could be driving hovercraft's then and the Olympics will be held on mars instead of London!

I would rather see our money go towards the nhs, or funding new youth centres and things like that...
We don't really need the olympics here anyway.. what's the point of building a multi-million state of the art sport's villlage that will probably only be used in an maujor event like this once.

Also it all encourages Sport activities and helps tackle problems with fitness in the UK. And it'd be a problem if there was a disaster with it or something because haven't we entered to be a candidate to host the 2018 Football World Cup or something?

The money we 'make' will be very small compared to how much we have spent, still leaving us with a massive loss of money.

I'm sure the UK will get those millions of pounds back eventually with this Olympic Stadium. It may have its uses, so until we know for sure it is a complete waste or a success, we may as well say nothing rather than come out with irrational jabber.

The last country to host the games also lost out big time, so what will make us any different AND we are spending more money than they did.
