The following are Wii Channels that have been announced but have not yet been released.
Wii Fit Channel
In coordination with their announcement of Wii Fit at E3 2007, Nintendo also issued a press release which stated that users of the game would be able to compare their results and progress on a new channel on the Wii Menu.
Everybody's Nintendo Channel
Everybody's Nintendo Channel allows Wii users to download demos for the Nintendo DS and game trailers for both Wii and Nintendo DS where the channel will work in a similar way to DS Download Stations. A search feature will also be available to assist users in finding new games to try. This channel is due to be released in Japan in November, 2007.
TV Program Guide Channel
TV Program Guide Channel allows you to check what programs are on television. Content will be provided by G-Guide and is set to launch in March 2008 in Japan and May 2008 in North America. The Channel is said to be 'very fun and Nintendo-esque'.

How can you play DS demos on the Wii?
Exactly. It's through WiFi.
You open your DS, you turn it on. You turn on the demo, and then go to 'Download Play' or whatever it says on the DS menu. You will see the demo show up and you download it and play it. When you turn off the DS, it erases from the memory.
You can already do this in some (most) gaming stores.
