Well as you know from the other thread, mine is kinda the same problem.
I told the girl i know I liked her, and she was like ok...but we are soo close now, i now it doesnt work for evryone tho :/

My advice for u wud b to get rid of the friend who told you they were broken up, thats just plain nasty if he knew how u felt.
Try to still act the same way around the girl, in my experience girls still like to have compliments from other people, and not just their boyfriend.
If all goes well, u'll be really close, and when they finally do break up, you can console her, and get closer, and then...well you never know
