games guru, u DO NOT have to put a password in before u unzip it, the only pass that has anything to do with downloading is the 1 u use to get into the members area on vbulletin.com

i no and theres no way he will get away with it, as when people see a new vbulletin by people who dont no much about it, will always report it, also the beta realese of 3.5.0 will be out some time in june, so we will see hu updates in the first week or so

What Mentor is saying is that when you install with FTP you extract it on your computer and then upload each individual file at a time although you can upload a full foder.
But then you when you that it will say: "Uploading index.php... complete" "Uploading admin.php... complete"
So it will be much longer.

In cPanel you can just upload the .zip using FTP or Filemanage and then in the file manager, you extract it.

I didn't even know you could do that.

i duno theres loads of vbulletins going round this forum at the minute, and none of them are legal as they keep getting shut down, but i think it was dj-collins hu sed pheonix gave him the vbulletin that was illegal
