isn't that sort of like an accident? unless killing the child was the driver's intentions (sp?).

I don't agree with the death penalty, however in the future, it will be possible to have better proof with all this DNA and watching people from satellites, so maybe they should bring it back for a few crimes if they're 100% certain? But I'm not to sure on that, but attempted terrorism and killing more than 5 people deserve death penalty if absolutely proven in my opinion.

However it is wrong so I don't agree with it at the moment, mistakes do happen and you can't bring someone back.

The thing I do like about it, is the threat? Would people think twice? I think they might just. My dad lived in Saudi Arabia for 10 years, and you never heard of crime there, since they used to chop body parts off as punishment? Okay it's pretty inhumane and not very twenty first century, and mistakes would be made, but no one ever did anything in the first place over there?

    It's getting a balance really.

It should be used on major crimes such as murder and only when there is conclusive evidence.

But doesn't that mean you are playing god? I think that people should die naturally not intentionally, no one deserves to die. I'd rather murderers rot in jail for 20 years as this gives them time to think and regret

No, get rid of it. Two wrongs dont make a right. A lot of innocent people get killed because of it. A lot of times being suck in jail is a lot worse then death anyway.

I know this hasn't got to do **** all with death penalty but It sort of lays a point on the death penalty..

My mates brother is in the army and he has killed loads of people. But he killed them because they tried to kill either him or his other 'comrades' So practically he had to kill these people to stop them from killing anyone else.

All they are doing is stopping these people from doing any more harm to anyone else.

If you don't agree with me I would appreciate it if you didn't quote my post and moan because thats my point and I'm sticking with it
