    Okay. With Virgin Media you will probably have a direct connection to your modem, if you are trying to connect the Xbox via Ethernet to your cable modem and the PC via USB to your cable modem at the same time. You cannot do this, its one or the other, USB or Ethernet not both at once with a cable modem.

    Try:

    1. Power off the modem and the Xbox, wait for 30 seconds. Power up the router, then the Xbox and try again
    2. When using your PC with the modem direct, if you have to click on an icon to connect to the internet that has your ISP username/password details stored inside, you will need to enter those same details into the PPPoE section of the Xbox connect thingy
