Ive always quite liked advernt, there really the only make you can get a decent price on through PC world. if you buy from other retails i suppose its dosnt make much odds, but with pc world imparticar thuew a load of deals advent pcs have next to no markup on them, so tend to be better buys. The downside is you'll often have the sakes people religiously trying to talk to you in buying a load of insurence and after sale packages.

Your aware the hdd has abouslty no baring on any of that, nether companys make there own hdds, and at best you'll get a bit of branding stuck to em. other than that and hdd's and hdd.
Sounds more like you got your o/s reinstalled with the wrong companys setup disks, so got the wrong set of crapware and branding.

I'm clueless but I was thinking the same thing. Just because you have an advent HDD doesn't change the way it works as in interface. So it's probably not the best idea to be calling them noobs. Probably know 100x more than you'll ever know about a PC.

Well, maybe there are 2 or 3 people hidden away in the back who do, but as a whole pc world employees are just clueless sales people. You'll notice if you ever ask em a question they will in almost all cases need to go grab a manager or one of the techs kept in the back. Computer literacy isn't a requirement of the job. :p

The tech guys aren't complete idiots though. There probably smarter than you think, just given dodgy training in how to make computers work with idiotic parts that shouldn't really go there but will work

fgs there REMOVED they are, im having loads of probs with it atm,

it will say its disconected from the wireless network every 3 seconds (im not exagarating, every 3 seconds i get a pop up saying "connected to x network", (even though its still properly connected)

windows updates keep screwing up, and my mcafee virus scan wont install properly.
