It's great how they're patching it up like that, but even better that they're carrying on with the production, keeping the Heath Ledger scenes as well. It shows that they really do care, and this has happened before to a Batman film if people recall. I think it was in fact the Batman himself who died, and they replaced him with a double but most of it was filmed as the passed actor.
It's great to see they're paying some respects to him in the way he would've loved: In his acting. RIP

The film is in post production, they've finished filming. Why are they replacing him?
Not that I'm interested in Batman anyway. They so did this after seeing Depp's look in Sweeney Todd.
