For exp, you get 1 for every win, and lose 1 for every one you leave early

For skill, its based on how many you win in a row. The higher you get the more you have to win in a row to get the next skill level. However the higher you get, the easier it is to lose a level when you lose, so you may win 5 in a row, lose 1, and lose a skill even though you didnt gain one.

i just mean i could win 10 or so in a row and get top killer in around 6 of the matches and not go up? and i deliberately lost loads and didn't kill anyone and i still didn't go down
