Knife & Fork Pet Peeve

i eat like in the first pic and theres rules about eating? as long as it doesn't go all down the front of you why would it matter

I am left-handed and I use my fork in my left and my knife in my right. I don't do that because it's the "correct" way but it's the way to me that feels most natural. It is a bit silly getting annoyed over the way people hold their cutlery though :S

I use it correctly, and other people doing it does bug me for some reason. I just hope they never embarass themselves at a dinner party

That's very pet peevish If I am eating with a knife and fork, picture 2 normally appears, but if I am scopping stuff onto the fork then it'll probably a be a bit like picture 1. If I am eating something which only uses a fork, then the fork will appear in the right hand.

ANd i sometimes hold my fork like a spoon if im eating something like mash potatos
