I've never liked where the speed-o-meter in a Mini, I would spend too much time staring at it and getting confused Is that the newer one or the version before?

Thats the newer one and the speedometer in the middle is really just for show because you get Digital one on the rev counter above the steering weel
I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.

Lol well I think they're trying to make look as much like the really old ones as possible like it has a start/stop button because apprently the really old school Minis had them without having to put a key in (but now you obviously have to put the key in first )

Ah that might be why, but the old mini was very thin so the centre wasn't that far from view. You don't get the same effect with a bigger car

Like I said above theres a digital Speedo where the rev counter is but that one is put in the middle so it looks more like the old style minis =]

Thats my head-unit. Notice how the A/C controls are built in to the unit! You can't get an aftermarket system installed!
