Nah, I'm sure there's bound to be some sort of varnish for that sort of thing.

I'm pretty sure it would be coated with something

Would be funny if it caught fire.

Edit: How annoying Roboevil said it before me.

Would you have to add a new coat after a while? Because varnish doesn't last forever and I imagine when it suffers alot of rain, especially at driving speeds where it gets pummled by rain and dirty. Not to forgetting when it suffers condensation coming from underneath when the engine heats up.

I don't think it would be varnish or if it was it would be industrial which you would have to replace like every 4-6 months?

    Yes very nice car.

But the people who will probably be able to afford are the kind of people who will only use it once anyway and have enoguh car storage place to store the whole factory.

That is unless they put alower price to it.

You know how much it cost to build?

I imagine it'll be like a varnish which you apply yourself. Otherwise it would be something like enamel (sp?), which would require a machine to apply it. It definitely won't be able to survive with one coat though, unless they've invented a new type of a coat which is thick and wear-proof.

The engine over heating is interesting too, how would they be able to make sure that if it does heat up (like all engine), it won't set the whole body alight

I can't imagine it being very safe, or comfortable.
