Colleges usually have advisors who tell you what the best subjects to choose are for your desired career path. It might be a good idea to spealk with one of those, or alternatively pay Connexions a visit. They are really helpful.

Ask them what they think the best subjects would be for a career in journalism. That's what I'd do anyway. Good luck.

Yes like REDNECK has said Connexions are very helpful so it'd defnetly be worth arranging a meeting with a careers advisor
I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.

The chances are you will not find a job in Media and even if you do it will be low pay. Too many people have taken the Media jobs over recent years and many are now jobless. There are only so many jobs in Media and they have ran out.

    I'd go for
English lang., Politics, History, English Lit. (possibly) at A level.

Photography is a different thing really. Plus you don't need a degree for the photography if your a journalist, as I presume most of the picture will be took by a specialist photographer.

Connexions is definitly your best step, or school careers adviser if you find it easier. They'll tell you subjects needed, grades needed etc.
Alternatively, could write to your local paper (?) . For the letters to whoever column.
    Doubt everything, even this.

I only picked Media cause it was double award and the teacher said it was two easy a's.
It's quite fun using photoshop and making adverts lol.
I'd recommend english, media and some ICT skills.
