LOL. Skynews and Metoffice along with ITV1 and BBC have teamed up.
Since the 1987 disaster they are not taking any precautions.
In 1987 Meteorologists watching the storm fought it wasn't big and didn't give a public annoucement. The next day it was a disaster with trees uprooted, caravans tippled...

The weather teams on Sky news have said they joined up together to prevent 1987 all over again. They want to get the most accurate information to give the public warnings.
They haven't classed this as bad as 1987 but they are saying it is picking up.
The reason they joined together is so they can peice all Meteorologists data together to provide the most accurate of 99.9% of the storms course.

All last weekend I spent lifting up some pretty heavy fence panel's with my dad as the storm blew them all out of their places... Most fence panel's are light but my Dad thought these look nice, so they're so thick and heavy, despite that they still blow over

Lifting up heavy fence's is boring and scary, not again

Are you in a different area to me? Essex is windy, but not that extreme

That's what the 'Great Storm' of 1987 did to my Grandma's area. I wasn't around but the damage looks awful. Hopefuly not another repeat.

    You've doomed us all!

I've not got much to worry about. No fences, just old, strong walls and a few trees which like surviving strong winds anyway.
