A rant about teens these days and my life and stuff...

Sorry but my sister is 21, and at 16 she started smoking by 17 started weed, and tried a few drugs. stopped everything but smoking by the time she was 19. so there are people of ur generation who do the same as people now.

you can't use yourself as a comparison to a huge group of people. teenagers have always been like that, it isnt new to our generation. if anything, drug awareness has gone way up since the 60's, and not as many people are doing them (along with smoking and having sex)

oh, and everyone should stop contradicting themselves. if you put down that you drink, you have to put down that you do drugs, as alcohol IS a drug, no matter if it's legal or not.

Teens today are just....there's no word for it...

I never did half the things teens to these days.

I never smoked until I was 18, I tried to quit recently but I'm back smoking again.
I only tried weed 3 times, and gave up on it because drugs are stupid.
I only drink on special occasions, or when I'm depressed about my past and losing my ex, Krystle, to brain cancer back in '05.

I'm 20 now, but I mean, I'm hearing about teens (aged 13-17) doing drugs, having sex, etc....

It shocks me because when I was those ages, I was concentrating on school......I wasn't a nerd, or a jock or anything really, I was in the middle, I was abit of everything really. I liked sports, video games, some Linkin Park songs, some rave songs, etc. I was a mix of all social cliques, but I was mainly a loner. I stuck to myself to avoid getting into trouble with the police and stuff like that.

This girl, she's a really good friend of mine, she's 15, I think of her as my sister, even though I actually have a sister (who's 17). I care about her alot and she's dating a guy who's 16 and he's done heroin and stuff like that but now he only does weed. She doesn't want to lose me as a friend but she came on MSN and she was talking to me and I can tell something was up.....it turns out she was high. She thought I hated her for getting high....which I don't....I'd never hate her....

I'm just ranting randomly now....Canada's alot different than the UK. Ecstasy is DEFINITELY not as big a problem as it is in the UK.

Also, I should say, I'm still a virgin (I'm a guy, I'm 20). Before you point and laugh, I've been told by many girls I know that me being a virgin isn't a bad thing. It's a good thing because whoever I'm dating knows I don't have an STD and stuff like that. But still....I'm ashamed at the fact that I'm 20 and a virgin.

When I turned 18, my mom took me aside and told me she was proud of me for not getting into any major trouble or drugs or anything.

Then I tried smoking, to my parent's dismay (I told them I quit, but I still smoke).

And drinking....
And weed.
