To be honest... The moderation team will remove/close a thread immediately when a lil' bit of short term or meaningless bickering happens, people moan about it all the time! If the forum had to be moderated, the moderator MUST:

Put a written warning in the post that is causing concern.
    OR
Make a reply in the thread that states that members need to calm down a little.

But that depends on what's happening.

Therefore IN MY OPINION it would need closer moderation

    It's simple enough.
Because some people all over the forum go over the top swearing, that mean this one specific place needs more modding than the rest of them?... What?

Some people fail to put there points across and resort to aAd hominem attacks, its true. Thats still part of a debate and id rather a good discussion didnt need to be closed because of one idiot. Ive got no problem with a little banter taking place in a debate, its part of the fun of it. If your to immature to debate without getting in a hissy fit, just stay out the forum... Thats my Opinion. The same moderation as everywhere else would be fine.

I dont see a problem with heated debating as long as it doesnt turn into a childish slanging match and if it did the people involved should be dealt with as normal. I do agree that it would be wrong for a mod to close a thread because of a few idiots and should deal with them and their posts and not ruin it for others. I do admit if somebody insults me i can stoop to their level which isnt great but if a mod deals with it quickly when i complain i would have no need to.

Surely you're capable enough to realise that immature children will swear more in this forum than others. Debating involves putting your point across and some people aren't immature enough to debate which i've already stated if you'd been reading my posts. Before, I go off-topic even more i'll revert back to the original topic . I do think this is a good idea and could run smoothly depending on whether some immature members ruined them will constant bickering and arguing.

Isn't the uk a democracy? Why do habbox keep doing things that people don't like and they don't listen to the community. People are starting to leave because of the dictatorship here. I mean it's like signing up to a school isn't it? The rules are so strict. I get infractions for the smallest things like double posting and they last for up to 5 months. Also why should you not be able to post even light swear words? I mean there are no 11 year olds on here that would go to their parents and say mama there's the word bum on the forum! Or what W...T...F means. They should listen to us.

I'm probably gonna get an infraction for posting this but that'l just prove my point.

I think that quite a few members will have a quick look and run for the hills when they see issues being discussed properly and in detail. I do however think there are always some people who try to ruin threads because mods just lock them instead of deal with the few trouble makers. I don't think it should be modded differently to how the rest of the forums are supposed to be modded but it does take time to get new mods especially ones who last

I wouldn't mind being a mod but I probably wouldn't be allowed to be one because of my opinion.

It would need a couple of users who love debating to mod it to make it work the best because if it was a normal mod who was not really interested would mean they dont put as much effort into keeping the debates going.

I hope we get some senior figures come out of the shadows and show us some support here on this issue or at least give us a good reason why its not allowed and always gets ignored.

I just meant a general mod I have a couple of interesting debates but a lot of them people don't find interesting. A mod for this forum wouldn't work out really well because they would have to be someone who likes debating about everything and it wouldn't be good if they were debating and somebody else swore (etc) as they would be blamed for editing the post because of the mods opinion. Super mods alone would be better for this forum.

i agree, a lot of the 'official' debate topics are stupid, and dont interest me. i like debating when im in the mood, but id obviously prefer to debate about a subject that i feel strongly about.
