Don't put words into my mouth please, i didnt say it gets deleted.![]()
You've misunderstood me - I wasn't aiming that at you, I was more or less asking for back-up since you were once a moderator yourself and you know what happens to threads that get moved there.![]()
If you can PM a moderator to do it, its wasting time when it could be ** removed ** or placed into * bin * by a simple click so if they don't delete it - then you can warn them.
Hi, names James. I am a web developer.
If they realise what they have done wrong, they can edit it theirselves is what he is trying to say? So obviously they can see clearly what they have done wrong if they edit it themselves :S.
But why not just save someone the job and just get rid of it? Then you don't get any "unfair" warnings.

Yeah, I was just pointing out what the moderators used to do, because in a lot of cases, posts get merged and then edited. I just resigned, so I don't think much has changed since my removal.
The moderators should still be able to easily see if it's a mistake or not, they don't give warnings for mistakes really (well I didn't if I thought it was innocent) warnings are checked, and you can easily appeal if it's the case. But in my time, it has been a very very rare occurrence. It's pretty obvious wheter it's a mistake or not, and as Nick has pointed out, if you do happen to multiple post, it's a good idea to contact the super mods to sort it out so you don't get into trouble.![]()

I think there should generally just be a delete button. I keep thinking "quote" says edit when im in a rush so i accidently double post with different messages![]()
Generally, it's quite obvious when someone has double/triple posted accidently which is why, when we can see it's accidental, we'll simply merge the posts and take no action. Every now and again people multiple post on purpose and it's quite obvious that they've done so and when this happens, we will issue a warning.
