Uh, they don't have to..? The shops aren't allowed to sell the game until the specified release date...

They can't do anything unless there is a proper agreement, obviously if it's released like a week early then some action could be taken but a few days early doesn't matter, games are released early all the time so GTA will be no different, if it was released early dispite a real agreement saying no early releases then a court case will follow but unless that happens then they can't really do much

Theres a shop near me which always releases new anticipated titles a day early.

I got FIFA 07 3 days early, FIFA 08 a day early, and i've already asked them whether they will give it a day early, they said maybe, but most probably yes.
