Ask her what's going on between her and the instructor.
Ask her what's going on between you two because it sounds to me like you haven't a clue if she likes you or not, and if you do or do not have a chance with her.

Once you have spoken to her then it's up to you two to decide as friends what you both want to do, and if it's worth the risk of losing a perfectly good friendship. It might not go as well as you hope and not only losing a girlfriend but losing a close friend as well.

It might not be worth it in the end and you both may as well just stay friends, which may be for the best.
