They inject you with it whether you use the mask or not, so it depends on what you want to do.

I had this done, i wasnt injected or anything, they just said ok, can you count to ten, all i can remember is 1 2 3.. LOL.
BUT you do wake up confused and a bit disorientated at first and sleepy. the day after your fine tho.

When i got put to sleep to move my bone when i broke my wrist i got an oxygen mask and they put this tube thing in my hand and put the stuff in and as they did it they asked me what i was going to dream about and i just said the first thing that popped into my head - cheese . Next thing i knew i was in the recovery room. I was a bit tired after and the next day.

So did I lol. They just turned the pressure down afterwards and I was fine though.

Ha now i feel better abit.. now the worst bit is not being abe to eat or drink 12 hours before or 24 hours after!

For me it was just 12 hours. About 30 mins after coming back to the ward they brought round some toast
