    50 Degrees is fine. Mine reaches high 80's

    50C is fine for a graphics card they're designed to withstand a bit of heat.

    Those temperatures you quoted were while running the game right, not idle?

    That happened to me in the PS2 version, i just cleaned the disc and it was alright.
