I agree that you don't have to live in Manchester, but to do be a proper fan you do need to know the history of the club, be dedicated enough to watch the club if possible and actually pay attention to the scores. Some people on Wednesday night who supported United didn't know it was the third time they'd won it and some had to ask for the score, which is ridiculous in my opinion.

I live down south and support Everton, I know my knowledge on the team and I love watching them play football. I do come from close to liverpool so I guess I'm cheating, but you don't have to be from Manc to support Man Utd. You do however, need to know your teams history because yes, there was a time before Sir Alex Fergeson and yes that must be hard to understand.

In my opinion, there's a large base of glory supporters on Man Utd because they believe they'll always win and then they can always brag. They're the people I think aren't supporters, they're just idiots parading around and I find them annoying.

So true, you don't need to come from Manchester... you need to come from Salford. Manchester is blue.

When I was growing up I was brought up as a Liverpool fan, but as I live 5-odd hours away, and never got to any games, I kind of went off them, and now I support my local team, which have only just got promoted from the Blue Square North, Kettering Town. To be honest, the atmosphere is incredible in the terraces. One of the best things about supporting them is I can go and see a decent, fast-paced game of football every week for a fiver.

I don't have anything against any fan supporters but as we're on the topic of Man UTD, I hate their excuses of "Just cuz we're biggest club" "Just cuz he won the league" It's like yeah.. now get over it.
