Mine have Year Managers which is a detention at lunch time, if you miss that you get After School.

If you miss that, its half day Isolation.

Id rather the half day Isolation

My school gives after schools but not that often

My school does detentions after school first its 30 mins then if you don't turn up you get 45 mins and if you don't turn up to that you get 1 hour. If you don't turn up to that you get a saturday one. Then suspension if you don't turn up to that. I think. I've never got a detention so I don't know how they work that well.

If we miss that, we get a 'Faculty' which is 1 hour long and goes on record.
Next is 'PD' which is 1 hour long but looks worst on your record.
Now we have 'Inclusion' which is like Isolation.
We did have 'Exclusion' where you had to stay at home, looks really bad on your record. But then the school figured they are having a good time at home so they made 'Incusion'. ;P
Luckly i got Excluded before they brought in Inclusion so i have no idea what thats like.
At detention is no biggie, dont worry and if you don't like it, do the homework. ;]

Yeah most schools do internals instead because it costs them a lot to exclude people.

An after school detention is only illegal if 24 hours notice is not given. If less than 24 hours is given the teachers can only keep us in 10 mins at our school they do 2 hour detentions for going up to the shop outside of school boundaries..
