Let the thread creators manage the thread?

This wouln't work. I for one would remove text from posts made by people I don't like no matter if it was a good post or bad. It would get abused so much

In VB it would be impossible to do. Basically all the members would be mods and the VIP would have to go up to £50.00 a month to cover all the staff doing it.

Seriously though this idea sounds okay on the surface but the implications and consequences have not been thought out.

If members would like to mod their own forums then if you are a VIP member you can have a sub-forum and be a mod of that.

There is nothing to compromise on Simply closing threads, which is already a VIP feature.




Even if it were possible to allow members to manage their own threads, banning from a thread would never be allowed, it would be too easy to simply ban those who's opinions they didn't want.

Closing threads is a VIP feature.

It is actually, but there's no safe way of doing it yet.
