Some women will experience symptoms right from the very beginning while others will not experience any – even after the confirmation from a pregnancy test. Every woman is different in how her body will react to pregnancy.
There are pregnancy tests available which can detect pregnancy 3 days after a missed period....and if you go to the doctor even on 1st day of a missed period they can test you there and then.
Yes it takes up to 2 weeks to have an abortion but if the limit was brought down it wouldn't take that long.
No it wouldn't be more logical to ban abortion because I don't think they should be banned. The limit should be anywhere between 4-8 weeks....
    12 weeks at a push!
Since when has your age got anything to do with it? You stated that it should be 4 weeks, not 12 at a push. My argument was for your views on 4 weeks, and what makes you think it wouldn't take so long still if it was pushed down to 4 weeks? Don't you think there would be more back street abortions, women putting themselves at risk of dying. You can't get rid of abortion and by saying 4 weeks that's what you were basicly implying to do.

However like I said, I don't see any reason why the limit is so high.. I do agree with you in some respects but at the end of the day it's the mothers choice. THATS IT FROM ME NOW.

I would rather a barely living baby being killed than a living baby being negelected by it's parents.
The limit to me should be lowered, but only by a couple of weeks. I'm not sure when it is, but I think the week before the baby becomes conscious and/or feels pain.

I think that the limit should be lowered to around 16 weeks, 4 months? 24 weeks the baby is practically developed which is 6 months, people have had babies before the 24 week limit and have survived so really it is a living baby in side you at that stage. So i think that the limit is far to high and if the mother does find out she is pregnant then normally it is before she is 5 months pregnant and says she doesnt want the baby and wants to get it aborted so I think that there is no need for it to be this long before you cant have a baby aborted.

I think its up to the pregnant person. I think that people need to stop sticking there noses into other peoples situations and making judgements of them.

If the mother doesn't want it, she shouldn't be forced to put her body through pain and raise a child when she doesn't want to.

I think 12 weeks is more then enough time to make a decision.

It depends on the situation really. I mean something like rape?

Also if the baby is born into a family that didn't want it imagine how terrible it's life would be.

Firstly everyone's personal circumstances and situations are different. A 13 year old may be unaware she is pregnant, and when her body begins to change, may be petrified before she seeks help. Where as a female of 16/17 who uses birth control will know more about her body, and may suspect she is pregnant and might wait until after she has missed two periods in the hope that she isn't pregnant. An older female is likely to detect she is pregnant much quicker and will act upon it. Twenty weeks is still a long time! Certainly long enough to know you are pregnant, however there will always be exceptional circumstances too, where the mother is at risk or even the child.

Each females situation is entirely different, we aren't programmed to act the same, and until we are in the position, we don't really know what's right and what's wrong, well I don't!
