It's only illegal if people are uploading and downloading music that is copyrighted.
IE
Uploading a Coldplay album = Illegal
Uplading an album that you and your friends recorded in your garage = legal.

That's completely different. Limeware operates off p2p (peer-to-peer) networks, so they don't actually host the files.like limewire isnt illegal unless you download copyrighted content from it.

I know of sites (e.g. rapidshare) which people upload files (including music files) in zipped folders and people can download those files if they wish.
