    If someone's in a stable relationship already then you should let them stay that way. If, for example, you broke this lad and his girlfriend up, he would probably be too heartbroken to think about going out with you.

    About your friend having feelings for the lad: If you told her that you liked the boy, see if she tries not to like him, if she doesn't, then go ahead. She'll probably steal a guy off you so why can't you do it to her..?
