They're trends. Why would you want to follow a trend? wouldn't you rather be an individual? you're own person. Rather then being a stereotype which is lame in itself.

I think you could still be a punk or whatever and have your own personality.
Saying that, I'm my own person really, although I am very girly, so I put that, me and my friends are all girly, so there we go.
