I don't shop there, not my kind of clothes really.
And it's not all Primark's fault about the child labour stuff, a lot of that's down to the factory owners.

Eww, primark clothes are hideous, no style at all. Yea, people say its good because it cheep, but I would rather have less decent clothes than loads of horrible clothes.

Just about every mainstream clothing company has children work in poor conditions.

Not Necessarily true. Some of the more expensive stores are just as likely to use cheap child labour, but just add a bigger mark-up to their clothes.
More expensive clothes; doesnt always mean they've been made under more "ethical" conditions.

But i mean Primark has been shown to use unethical conditions even though its technically not their fault. But the low cost of the clothes shouldnt be why people think this.

If primark sell 1000 units of £1 tops, and FCUK sells 5 £80 dresses in a week. Primark will have accumulated more profit. This is how Primark make their money, from Large volumes of sales.

About the child labour, its down towards the factory owners.
All you see if people under paid, but how much are these companies paying the owners? What the people get paid will be hardly anything what the owners get.

I've never even seen a Primark. Also my opinion to third world countries who have people forced into labour is their own fault. The majority of them were either run or dominated by the British Empire, then of course they fought for freedom and now look at them. If they wanted a better life they shouldn't have fought for freedom. If it was happening in this country no one would give a damn, it's just because it's these "poor" asian, african or indian children that are suffering that anyone even notices. I think there should be a campaign to save all the MacDonald's and Burger King employees in this country - poor sods...

Ricky Gervais sums it up perfectly in his Politics standup. Where he says "Africa fought for freedom in the 50's and 60's. Once they got it AIDs, HIV and other diseases started to attack the population. The 80's rolled on and the phone went 'Hello it's Africa'."
