Anything bad happen to you recently? Any Stress? Something like that may be the cause behind almost wanting to burn yourself

Quite the opposite of stress. I've just finished my GCSEs, and my 11 week holiday has started. I am however away from home, and I've been really bored recently, because I'm babysitting my cousins for a week (they're not stressful though). It may be because I'm homesick I suppose. But that seems a bit random.
The urge isn't a desire to inflict pain on myself. It's more like curiosity, even though I know what will happen.

Hmm, very odd. Well, perhaps the best thing to do may be to seek professional advice. Unless anyone else has had this sort of experience...

I've searched the net, some people have said they feel the same urges, but it doesn't seem to bother them. Thanks for help bot of you. +rep.

Yeah that would stop me from doing it, but then I'd feel like a mental patient who has to be kept away from dangerous objects.

I have this exact "problem", it's as if I will get a thrill off hurting myself, or from this urge. Basically, you have the urge to mess with fire, and as explained to me, it's pyromania.

Don't worry, it soon dies down.
