Apparently you can open it up then unplug the built-in webcam and use the USB socket inside for a flash drive, like a 8GB one? Sounds a good idea but not sure if it's possible.

I mean, why have them black spaces... they may as well have it as the screen or get rid of it or something... maybe put speakers there.

black spaces inbetween the screen? on the 70x series they are speakers. On the 90x series they made a 8.9" screen, eliminating this problem.

You are able to open up the case and remove the webcam plugged in via USB, then replace it with a mini cord that goes to a female USB and use the space beside the RAM in the back to inset an internal 3G modem, bluetooth, GPS, memory stick. If you're good with mods you can mod a usb hub to plug in internally, as long as whatever you plug into the internal USB hub doesn't exceed 500ma you're good to go(for example you could have an internal bluetooth, GPS, a flash stick, and if you're willing to, purchase a specially made touchscreen kit from ebay to equpit to the EEE, that's what I plan on doing to mine, that or get my device internal bluetooth support.)

Not really. Duo Core laptops here are around $800, my EEE was $399. I prefer my EEE over my 17" laptop any day.

AH! Wow! That is not a duo core. That is the Aspire One. It is a UMPC like the EEE, look:

I had no idea these were presold in Canada, only that thery were out in Europe. Many are talking about this as eeeuser.com in the "Other Devices" forum.
