Travelling with liquids - 100ml rule
Only limited quantities of liquids may be carried through security control as hand baggage. This includes bottled drinks, suntan lotion, fragrances, cosmetics and toiletries. The following restrictions apply to all liquids, creams, gels, pastes and aerosols taken through security control:

    • Liquid items may only be carried in containers holding up to 100ml.
    • They must be carried separately in a single transparent, re-sealable plastic bag.
    • The bag must be no larger than 20cm x 20cm (8in x 8in) and all items must fit inside so that it closes properly.
    • At security control the bag must be placed separately on the conveyor belt for screening.
Liquid items larger than 100ml should be packed in your hold luggage - otherwise they will be confiscated.
Exceptions to the 100ml rule can be made for baby food or milk. However, you should only carry what you need for the flight, and you may be asked to taste these items at security control.

As stated above, its mostly the airlines, but most have relaxed again now. To be safe though take minimal toiletries in your hand luggage.

    Also have a nice trip

100ml is still in force and yes they must be packed in clear plastic bags. 0.1 of a kilo overweight in hold baggage proberbly will result in excess baggage charges.

Handluggage usually isn't weighed, so you maybe able to get away with a bit more.

Trust me, I fly a few times a month lmao!

put liquids in suitcase as well as razor blades etc. it might be ok flying out but coming back could be different as its on airport policies they never weigh hand luggage though unless it looks like you are struggling with it :p theres some things you use to test if its small enough in the airport. hand luggage size is more than an average size rucksack is fine i usually have about 10 kilo jammed in it like shoes and heavy stuff and never had it weighed .
    enjoy your trip.

better off putting the larger items in your handluggage and removing some from your suitcase, if you have a heavy jacket or whatever wear that on the day so you can just take it off when on board.

just wondering why your toiletries are taking up 3kilos I would suggest just taking certain items and buy the rest out there.

Could you not keep the toiletries in the luggage and take something else in hand luggage? You gotta have something other than soap that weighs a bit lol
