LMAO I wasn't trying to be patronizing, but if you find that it was then your problem not mine. No One was number 2 in like Billboards hot 100's.
It still was pretty big I dont know how far it got up in the UK charts but considering it was played every 5 minutes of the day I'm considering it got far. However much you want to downgrade her amazing voice and her beauty she will still be way above Leona Lewis. She is amazing, considering she writes her own songs, plays piano and sing's - yes she does alot more then Leona "honey".

LOL I'm not trying to downgrade her 'amazing voice', I find her old material to be very good, 'As I Am' got crap reviews, everyone on music boards who actually know what they are talking about say how much of a borefest it is and Leona plays guitar and piano? Yes but she was on a TV show, of course her first song would be a hit and yes she does have an amazing voice that will bring her a bright future. Though Alicia keys has had much more catchy song's, that have also shot her straight to stardom. Alicia key's did desereve this, her moment for all the hard work she has put into song writing, piano playing and singing which can I just say is a hell of hard work, all Leona does is sing.

I'm glad Alicia got it before Leona, obviously the people know what there doing. There was clearly reasons why they didnt pick Leona over her.. :S

So what? A TV show only takes you so far. What happened to Steve Brookstein? Shayne Ward had some success but where is he now? Leona had and has the talent to carry her throughout her career without fault due to extreme natural ability. The fact is she had far more catchy songs but her recent material is nothing compared to her earlier. Leona writes her own songs too, hey she might have SOME assistance but where is her credit? So Alicia can play a piano, once you learn you've got it down but she's no Stevie Wonder. All Leona does is sing? Please. She can play several instruments and her voice excells Alicia's, and she doesn't sound as if she's in pain. Leona can even have tonsilitis and make a live performance sound effortless but still magnificent, I doubt Alicia could.

If this is true, they've picked lots of artists over eachother, it doesn't mean they know what they're doing now. They're being indecisive.

Yes Alicia Key's album was such a flop it sold 700,000 copies in the US first week, largest first week sales for any R&B female.

An I'm not saying Leona dosn't have an amazing voice, but I'm saying Alicia deserved this more, shes amazing all over.

LOL when she gets some creative control you will respect her? Hmmm maybe maybe, I'm sure the reasons you respect PCD and Girlicious is all down to the amazing creative control they have

She does have creative control? She's an experienced writer and she started writing at a very young age. Giving a vocalist complete control creatively would be the worst move you could make in this industry. You don't know what sort of reception an artist will get so all artists start off with some assistance so that they have something to fall back on if their own material doesn't appeal to the fans. But all of the songs she wrote appealed to fans and critics.

Eamonn and I are defending her because her deserving talent appears to be oblivious to people criticising her.

I'm not denying she has talent whatsoever, I just reckon she hasn't done enough in the industry to deserve such a "gift" to do something as highly respected as the Bond film theme - she's had one album, which I didn't find that interesting anyway beyond Take A Bow & Whatever It Takes.
