Touch a radiator that isn't turned on.

I think I was unlucky when I build my system because I'm sure I earthed myself but the graphics card has allready been replaced under warranty and now my motherboard is playing up

Just by a ESD strap, attach it to your case and your fine.

All you need to do is touch the case, and since it's pretty hard to get inside a computer without touching the case, earthing yourself isn't a problem.
