How do i reboot my computer?

Hard Drive - It does not mean whet you think it means.

As you're talking about re-installing the OS not restarting your computer, here is a layman's instruction manual:

1. Insert the CD/DVD/Floppy Disc of the OS you want to install
2. Tell your computer to boot from this disc
3. Follow the on-screen instructions, make sure you do not select Quick format. Formatting, installation and setup may take a while (around half an hour to install Windows XP on a mid-range PC).
4. You should now have a fresh install of your chosen OS

If you have lost your installation key / activation code you can either contact Microsoft and hope they're nice enough to give you a new one (They did for me once) or you can get one from a pirating site.
