but is there a way of checking the activation code I used to activate it on this computer? Surely it stores it in case I want to deactivate it?

Contact Adobe, via phone/email on there site. you should find 'contact us' somwhere along the lines, theres no point on letting it go to waste if you actully bought the licence!

Look for "Magic Jellybean keyfinder" it may be able to tell you the code, if not then try other key-finding programs that can show you all the keys installed on your computer, but the easiest way would be to call up Adobe, but they will probably not help as they will need some kind of proof that you own a license.

I think there pretty much the same, im not too sure though buddy :]

They are the same in cracking terms, but patches can also mean updating a legal program etc...

No one ever puts deactivation methods in their programs for some reason, you have to contact them.
