afaik the minimum uk standard is 2 characters, 1 letter & 1 number.

I said 'UK Standard' when I replied to your comment. Guernsey is not part of the UK.

Guernsey is not part of the UK but rather a separate possession of the Crown, comparable to the Isle of Man. Guernsey is also not part of the European Union.
