Solo has been great for me, it's purely a debit card, and is ideal for those with 'so low' amounts of money in their accounts, and in the 5 or 6 years I've never had a problem using it, as most stores accept it. NatWest cash machines are everywhere, another plus factor. You don't get a cheque book, unless it's changed recently, but I never had the need for one. You also can't go overdrawn as you aren't allowed an overdraft
