Because DVD's will gradually vanish and then you will have no choice? and also I will only also say blu-ray = bigger game I shall admit I have a bias opinion to sony but how can you blame me when I lost so many 360's to the RROD (BTW yeh microsft did pay up it was more annoying than pricy in that matter)but I also like:

MGS4:GOTP
Resistance:FOM
GT Prolouge
Motor Storm
Warhawk

By the time blu-ray is common there will be a new console so there's your argument gone. GT Prologue isn't a game either.

@Xvisor, I remember when the PS2 was realeased and someone said the exact same as you about DVD's, i believe blu-ray will become common within the next few years and im pretty sure there won't be a new console by then. Anyway, I plan on looking around town on monday then going for the best option Are there any games i should completely avoid?

Anyway, The next xbox360 will surely have Blu-Ray built in and they are releasing an add-on for the 360 soon that allows it to play Blu-Ray Discs.
Oh and games to avoid, Jumper, avoid at all costs.

DVD is multi-format and HD-DVD is yet to become common. Blu-Ray was released way ahead of it's time.
