Drivers for my Acer laptop dont like Vista,
My model doesn't have Vista compatible XPDM drivers, therefore I cannot use Maxivista,
compared to running XP, Vista boots slower, and doesn't run as fast as it wold if I had XP,
Camtasia Studio BSODs,
I don't pirate, so my Nero wont work on Vista,
Flight Simulator 2004 wont work on any of the 3 systems that I have running Vista, but works fine with my XP systems,
One of my systems is a Toshiba Satellite that runs Vista Basic, it lacks many features and is rather pointless,
having to use BCEDIT means I'm having to take extra steps to dual boot different operating systems,
The nice new aero experience is fine and dandy, but a window cannot be maximized in order to enjoy it, there are third party programs to fix this, however that requires modifying system files,
Schools are not ready for Vista, non computer power users are comfortable with using XP, the graphical interface on Vista has been changed a great deal, and non-powerusers would have to learn how to use Vista (I'm mostly talking about the younger kids..5-12). When any school in the school board here buys computers with Vista, it's a requirement to install XP onto them for these reasons. Vista looks nice, but it's not very practicle for schools in my opinion.
The biggest problem is really compatibility. I don't support Vista, but in the future when a few of these problems are fixed, then I Vista will probably be more enjoyable. I've said why I don't like Vista in other threads...they're just deleted because they turn into flame wars.
